Yes. Blinder, can't access your camera or microphone without your explicit permission. You will be asked to grant Blinder the camera and microphone access when joining a Blinder video call for the first time. Some browsers, such as Google Chrome, allow you to remember this action so if you're a regular Blinder video user this may be handy.

Yes, you can. You are automatically connected to the video call if this is an instant video ('Video now'). If you're scheduling a video for other people you can easily add yourself to the call by clicking a dedicated 'Add me' button. The system already knows your details so you'll receive your Blinder video link by email or text.

We recommend using Google Chrome but we support all modern browsers with WebRTC capabilities. To name a few - Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Samsung Internet are all fully supported.

No. We only start recording from the moment when at least two parties have joined the video call.

Blinder supports up to 4 recorded participants and one special, not recorded participant called the 'producer'.

Yes. We have a 'producer' function which allows the call scheduler to join the call as a non-recorded, audio-only participant. This is best suited for situations when you'd like to set up the scene but don't want to be recorded to save yourself some editing time.

Yes. In a matter of fact, Blinder does only HD video. Our minimum resolution is 720p and we allow video resolution up to 1080p on the premium plans.

We will provide you with a wide variety of file types and formats to best suit your needs. Our videos are distributed in an MP4 file format. We provide you with an MP4 of each participant separately (that we call an 'isolation' or 'ISO') and also a split-screen video file with all participants for the full interview reference (we call this a 'full-room' recording). You can also convert the MP4 files to WAV files for uncompressed audio or request transcription.

It only takes a few minutes. Once the video call is hung up, we immediately start preparing your MP4 files. As a rule of thumb, this takes anywhere between 50% and 100% of the duration of the video interview. So files for a 10-minute interview generally take between 5-10 minutes to prepare.
